Fondue Night

I tried fondue for the first time last week and I really enjoyed it. I had my daughter help me prepare everything. Silly me, I had my two fondue pots hiding behind all my pots and pans for months and I finally decided to use them. I even invited my parents and one of my sisters over. It was their first time trying fondue too. I made list of supplies and ingredients that I used on my fun fondue night.

Fondue sets:

  • traditional fondue pots (its heating source is a fire gel)
  • electric fondue pots (plug in)

Type of Fondue:

  • meat fondue
  • cheese fondue
  • chocolate fondue

Dippers

  • chicken pieces
  • beef pieces
  • shrimp
  • long bread slices
  • strawberries
  • bananas
  • marshmallows
  • pound cake pieces
  • graham crackers

Sauces

  • honey bbq
  • honey mustard
  • ketchup
  • A1 sauce
  • worcestershire sauce
  • spicy sauce (for dad & husband)

Xtra

  • fondue plates & bowls
  • napkins

If you’re using broth ,there are chicken, beef and vegetable . If you’re using oil, there are vegetable, canola, grapeseed and peanut.

For the the meat fondue, pour the broth or oil into the first pot, turn on. (I used chicken broth) For the cheese fondue, pour milk into the second pot, turn on. On a separate bowl mix the cheese of your choice with flour. Then add to the pot. (I used mozzarella cheese) For the chocolate fondue, pour chocolate chips into the third pot, turn on. (I used premium baking chips)

Beware, for the cheese and chocolate fondue, once they melt, turn them off or else they will stick to the pot and will be very hard to clean. If needed, turn on and off to keep warm. Fondue pots must be turned on a few minutes before digging in. Enjoy!
